Backstabbing for Beginners (2018)

Backstabbing for Beginners

Based on Michael Soussan’s critically acclaimed memoir, the film recounts the true story of Soussan (Hutcherson) working as a young United Nations representative and his fundraising efforts to continue the UN’s Oil for Food Program. His mentor, Pasha (Kingsley) brings him to Iraq to show him how successful the program is. However, when Michael gets a deeper look at the organization, he unveils a corruption conspiracy where officials both inside and outside of the UN are skimming billions off the top of the aid meant for the Iraqi people and Pasha is at the center of it all. With the stakes high and no one to turn to now, he must decide how to bring justice to this once good organization.
